Alene Fowler Byrd, 94, passed away on Wednesday, May 12, 2021. She was born in Lumberton, NC. and was the daughter of the late William and Letha Fowler and the widow of Henry Otto Byrd. She was a member of Petsworth Baptist Church in Gloucester.
She was also preceded in death by her son Ron Byrd, grandson Greg Byrd, great grandson Bryan Mouring, and great great grandson Charlie White and is survived by her daughters Mary Johnson(Wayne), Donna Yow(Ricky), and Debra Landen(Danny), son Richard Byrd(Kim), her sisters Ruby Young and Margaret Butler, eleven grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, and ten great great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 from 11-12:00 p.m. at Deer Park Fellowship, Newport News, Va. with funeral services starting at 12:00 p.m. Burial will be in Peninsula Memorial Park. Memorial donations may be made to either Gideons International of to Petsworth Baptist Church. Andrews Funeral Home & Crematory, Gloucester, Va. is in charge of arrangements.
